Nonimmigrant visa fees
Per 22 CFR 22.1 item 21, last amended by 91 FR 34772 (9 June 2026), and the State Department's fees page. Fees are per person and non-refundable.

Reciprocity fees. Thailand's reciprocity schedule shows no reciprocity fee for any visa class, so Thai applicants pay only the application fee.
Immigrant visa fees

These are separate from USCIS petition fees, such as Form I-130 (USD 675) and the USD 235 USCIS Immigrant Fee paid after the visa is issued, under 8 CFR 106.2. See US spouse visa and US green card.
Other fees you may pay
SEVIS fee. F and M applicants pay USD 350, J applicants USD 220, and au pairs, camp counselors and Summer Work Travel participants USD 35, under 8 CFR 214.13.
Expedited B1/B2 appointment. Temporary rule 91 FR 34768 adds a USD 750 fee for a B1/B2 interview within ten business days, effective 1 July to 31 December 2026, only at posts listed on travel.state.gov and in limited numbers. It is an optional add-on to the standard application fee. Mintz reported on 29 July 2026 that Mission Mexico was the only announced location, with no post in Thailand.

The USD 250 Visa Integrity Fee
Public Law 119-21 of 4 July 2025 created a Visa Integrity Fee of at least USD 250 for nonimmigrant visa recipients, adjusted for inflation, with reimbursement possible for those who comply with their visa conditions as the statute provides.
Status at 30 October 2026. The State Department's visa fees page and 22 CFR 22.1 do not list a Visa Integrity Fee. Greenberg Traurig reported that federal agencies said cross-agency coordination is required before collection begins. Visa Connext will update this page when an official notice is issued.
Payment and refunds
Applicants in Thailand pay the application fee before booking the interview through the scheduling system. Application fees are not refunded if the application is refused, and applicants refused under 221(g) who do not submit documents within one year must reapply and pay again. See US visa status check.

Frequently asked questions
How much is a US tourist visa?
The B-1/B-2 application fee is USD 185 per person under 22 CFR 22.1, non-refundable even if refused. Thai nationals pay no additional reciprocity fee.

What is the total government fee for an F-1 visa?
USD 185 application fee plus USD 350 SEVIS fee, USD 535 in total, excluding other costs.

How much is a US work visa?
Petition-based visas such as H-1B, L-1 and O-1 have a USD 205 visa application fee; E visas USD 315. USCIS petition fees paid by the employer are separate.

Do I have to pay the USD 250 Visa Integrity Fee yet?
As of 30 October 2026 neither the State Department's visa fees page nor 22 CFR 22.1 lists it, although the 2025 law created it.

Are US visa fees refundable?
